I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). I also serve as the deputy faculty director of the Energy Policy Institute at UChicago, China center (EPIC-China). My research interests span the fields of development economics, environmental economics, and political economy, with a regional focus on China. I hold a BA from Peking University, and a PhD from UC Berkeley. Prior to joining Harris, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Economics and Energy Policy Institute (EPIC) at the University of Chicago.
